Dallas Trip

The last weekend in May, we flew to Dallas for a very quick 3 day weekend helping my brother C.J. celebrate his graduation from medical school. As soon as we arrived in Dallas and left the airport we went straight to the original Sonny Bryan's BBQ shack for lunch, so Darren could have some really good Texas BBQ. We had chopped beef, onion rings, and potato salad. It was actually better than I remembered! We went to this place as kids when we'd meet my dad for lunch--it is right across the street from the medical school.
Since I am the official Collins family photographer, I don't have alot of pictures of just me with my baby doll. I let my dad take all the pictures this weekend!
The cake my mom made for my brother C.J.'s medical school graduation party. He is going to be a pediatrician, and you'll see a later picture of him as a pirate. He loves pirates and is going to put that picture on the back of his ID badge so he can tell his small patients that he is a pirate when he isn't being a doctor!

A view of us at First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX. It is a huge flea market that my mom LOVES. It was nice to be under the trees even though I don't know how I lived 18 summers in the Texas humidity! I went all out and enjoyed a cup of Blue Bell Vanilla ice cream, a fried pie, 2 glasses of lemonade, a piece of chocolate pecan fudge, kettle corn, a corn dog, and some of my sister's potato twister! Oh how I love "fair" food!!!
