Lunch with Friends

My friend Raya and I drove up to Layton to visit our friend Amy. Between the 3 of us, we have 6 kids. 4 boys and 2 girls. (Raya's baby girl not pictured.) Amy prepared a feast for us--homemade pizza and breadsticks and s'mores under the broiler. Yum! Thanks Amy! You are the best. Love you!

Lake Day

Sabrina "driving" the boat on Utah Lake with Grandpa Brad. Our first time on the lake in 2009 and Sabrina's 2nd time on a boat. Last summer she just slept the one time we went boating. She was wide awake this time!

Sabrina loved eating lunch on the boat. She especially enjoyed the cheetos and oreos.

Five Years Ago Today

Wow...it is so hard to believe that Darren and I have been married for five years. It sounds like such a long time but in reality it seems like we met each other at the Mount Timpanogos Temple to be married just last week...well, maybe a little longer than that! We have had a good 5 years. Lots of memories. Definite highs and lows but we are stronger for the good times and the bad, and we are still best friends. I love you, honey!

The day we were married was definitely the best day of my life. I wish I could live it over again. The best moments were in the sealing room during the ceremony surrounded by our loved ones and after when we were taking pictures outside the temple. Such sweet, sacred, and precious memories I treasure.

Helping

Grandpa Brad took these pictures of Sabrina helping with the dishes after Aunt Jessica's birthday brunch. She loves putting her hand under the running faucet. Sabrina loves to help in any way she can when it comes to cleaning. Hope she is still gung ho about cleaning in 10 years! She ended up getting soaked on this day.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Here Sabrina is enjoying one of my colorful and shiny parenting magazines. My family knows how much I love magazines. I am very content to plop down and escape into a stack of them. There is just something so satisfying about reading a short and entertaining or informative article. Time is at a premium when you are the mother of a one year old. I love to look at them when waiting at the doctor or dentist's office so I never dread the wait.
