I got this idea from a baby photography book-to put a wig on my bald baby! I love this wig--I got it about 5 years ago when I was Scooby Doo's girlfriend for Halloween.

Christmas Party at the Olsens

Sabrina and cousin Colt Madsen with Santa aka Chad Hauser, my cousin Emily's hubby. We are at the 3rd annual Olsen Family Christmas Dinner Party. As usual, we all had a great time. The age difference between Sabrina and Colt is almost 6 months.

5 Months Old

Since I spent four years as a second grade teacher in my former life, I am bound and determined that my daughter will love reading as much as I do. Here she is devouring one of her books literally. It's a step in the right direction, so I'm ok with that!! I have to give myself a children's book budget--that's almost all she's getting for Christmas. I have enough books now that I'm going to try not to buy any more until NEXT Christmas!

Obsessed

OK, I'm sure it seems like I have an unhealthy obsession with taking pictures of my child. I plead guilty! I was never a photographer until we got a kitten, and then a baby. Now, I am officially the Collins Family Photographer. I almost love taking pictures as much as my dad. I take way more pictures than I blog! The new toy I want is a nice Nikon camera-very pricey. They say you eventually turn into your mom, but your dad?! I am happy to be like my dad as far as being the ones to enthusiastically document the lives of the ones we love. He is an awesome father and devoted grandfather. So if there are only people I'm related to still looking at this blog, I understand. I have my parents to thank for even entering the blogging world in the first place. I felt sorry for them being 1000 miles away from their first granddaughter, so that motivated me to get my rear in gear and send pictures and notes their way via blog.

Christmas is Coming!!

This is Sabrina in her Christmas outfit from Cookie. She is sitting with our good friend Cindy Taylor, who is the amazing wife of our bishop. She is so good with kids--she's like the pied piper!! These pictures were taken at our ward Christmas party last Saturday night. I was in charge of it as the party lady/activities committee chair. It was fun but I'm sooo glad it's over!!

Pink Dress Photo Shoot, Take 2

So these are the second batch of pictures of Sabrina in this dress...we went to a friend's wedding reception on Friday night and I just had to see if Sabrina would fit in it one more time. She's growing so fast that I think that was the last time she'll have an occasion to wear it so I took too many pictures of her in it. The big flower on her head band is courtesy of Cookie--we found it in the greatest baby boutique in OKC called Dudes and Divas. Wish I was independently wealthy so I could buy all the baby girl things in that store!!!!!!!!! The scratch on her face came at the reception when she nicked her face with her thumbnail. I'm slowly getting better at keeping on top of growing baby fingernails. Ahhh!

Thanksgiving 2007

Thanksgiving was a blast. Sabrina took her first plane ride with us to Oklahoma City to visit my parents for a week. She did great both going and coming back. We can't wait to go back and see Cookie and Papa. Sabrina did some new things--sitting in a high chair and a jumperoo. Looks like Santa will be bringing her those things for Christmas--she's been a good girl this year! She also met my Grandma Pat (my dad's mom) who recently moved to the Oklahoma City area to be close to my parents. Great Grandma Pat really enjoyed meeting her first great granddaughter.
