Preschool Field Trip to Pumpkinland, October 2011

Sabrina had a preschool field trip at Pumpkinland so John and Cookie and I came, too! It was a gorgeous fall day-absolutely perfect to be at the pumpkin patch!

We Love Aunt Belinda! October 2011

We got to see Aunt Belinda and Uncle Mark when they were up at Grandma Evans' house over October General Conference weekend. It was so great to see Aunt Belinda. She is my mother in law's oldest sister and I love her so much. She and Uncle Mark raised their kids in Duncanville, TX and still live there. She is also a 6th grade teacher. We have Texas and teaching in common and I just love to be around her. She makes me feel so good about myself and my kids. Seeing her every three years at the Evans Family reunion just isn't enough!

My mom is the best grandma when it comes to making crafts with her grandkids. Since I didn't get the crafty gene I am always so happy to see Sabrina having a fun time creating with Cookie. They are kindred spirits when it comes to crafts. Here they are painting a jack-o-lantern face on a glass jar. Then they put a battery operated tea light candle inside it. It is so cute!

Raspberry Picking at the Brier Patch! September 2011

On the last day of September, my mom and I took my kids to pick raspberries at the McBride Brier Patch. Farmer McBride was so nice. We picked for about an hour and we each got lots of berries that we paid less than $10 for. It was a little bit of hard work but we all had fun and the tasty raspberries were a great reward. We plan to make it a summer tradition. Next year we will go about a month earlier so the raspberries will be a little sweeter and so we can also get some blackberries.

John finally decided to start walking...at 19 months old!

Silver Lake

Sabrina got to spend the night with Cookie and Papa, just her and them. They spent a little over 24 hours together. The day she got there, they went to Silver Lake for a picnic dinner. I love the pictures my dad takes. They had a great time! I was jealous of all the fun things my mom took Sabrina to do. They went to the Tracy Aviary and to Silver Lake-two places I have never been.

It was a Rapunzel Party. My friend Sunny Hintze made Sabrina's cake.

The cake tasted as good as it looked.

I won a Pot 'O Gold grand prize at a St. Patrick's Day party last March and one of the prizes was an hour of balloon twisting from Jeremy Telford, the balloon guy. He brought the above large Rapunzel balloon sculpture balloon to Sabrina at the party. He said it took him a couple hours to make while watching TV!
