Before I Was a Mom

Somehow I erased two week's worth of pictures once I downloaded them on my computer on Saturday...I am sad but life goes on. So no pics this week but more will be coming soon. I thought I'd share some excerpts from an email forward I was sent--I just included the ones that I could really relate to.

Before I Was a Mom, author unknown

Before I was a Mom-

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.

Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so
important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

I love that poem:
"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait,
for babies grow quickly, it’s just fate.
So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby cause babies don’t keep."

So true, so true!!! Babies and children grow up so fast. It seems like just yesterday Weston was born and now he is about to get baptised!!!! And then before I know it, he will be going on a mission!!! Enjoy it while it lasts....it flies by far too quickly!!!

I once lost 12. . .TWELVE rolls of full, but undeveloped film. TWELVE! It still makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. Not to mention the camera I lost with a full roll of film in it in '99, two rolls of film placed lovingly into my oven by children (I turned it on without knowing and the film melted into a glass like substance) and a roll of film taken at one of Scott's brothers wedding. Do you feel better? I feel worse!
